Meet Kyrie Irving

My Take on Kyrie Irving:

Kyrie Irving, PG, Duke: Now & Then NBA Comparison – Chris Paul/Isiah Thomas. The new generation point guard is a beauty to watch.  A thing to behold, the floor general nowadays is as entertaining a player to watch than at any time in the Association.  Coach K’s freshman fits the description of the lead man you want to help turn your sputtering squad around, from lottery-team to playoff-club.  The evolution of the PG calls for him to not only navigate and command the team, but to score without hesitation, drive at will, and be the face of the franchise.

Kyrie is a sure thing to be that “next guy” and is the undisputed #1 overall pick, which he deserves despite popular belief this is a weak draft class.  This kid is already polished, so much, I think he could come in right away and replace Chris Paul with New Orleans, and do the same things Paul does, if not even better.  The Hornets would not miss a beat, he’s that remarkable of a prospect.  Irving is a far more dangerous scorer than Paul, has a consistently strong left-handed finish, something CP3 does not possess, and has the ability to go anywhere with the ball, something I just absolutely marvel at and have been astounded by.  Remarkable as a shooter, just an all-around PG who is a lock to go #1.  Overly smart and crafty, his attributes as a point guard are off-the charts and his qualities as a playmaker are quite stunning.

Three words to describe his game: Natural, effortless and smooth.
