Now that the Cavaliers have the home court advantage locked in theie are a lot of people are wondering how will they end the season in preparation for the playoffs.
After speaking with head coach Mike Brown, he let us know that he has not changed a thing as far his coaching strategies are concerned. He is still pushing his team the same way as he would any other time of the season.
Looking back at last season when the Cavaliers were in the same situation, they went 5-2 in their last seven games. They seem to dominate in the playoffs until they ran into the Orlando Magic. We all know how that ended.
I think that it is going to be important to end the regular season on the same kind of note. They need to make a clear statement that they are the team to beat that’s hungry for a NBA Championship.
That is going to be hard to do with the fact the Lebron James has requested a few games off. I do feel he has earned the right to do so, but will that interfere with the momentum going into the playoffs.
One thing for sure the Cavaliers need to make sure any issues they are having are ironed out before the playoffs begin. You don’t want to get caught up in trying to work them out during the playoffs, it could mean an early departure from out of the playoffs.
Here is the biggest difference in last season and this season. The Cavaliers were built with all intentions of facing the Boston Celtics for the Eastern Conference Finals. All that theory went out the window the moment that the Orlando Magic beat the Celtics and they made it to the Eastern Conference Finals.
After General Manager Danny Ferry put the final touches when he got Antawn Jamison in a trade that sent Zydrunas Ilgauskas to the Washington Wizards then getting Ilgauskas back, the Cavaliers are set for any team they face.
Last but not least, the Cavaliers need to get healthy. They have had a number of injuries this year and they to have everyone playing well together in win the NBA Championship. So how will the Cavaliers end this season.
