CHICAGO- A game after the Cleveland Cavaliers won the Central division of the Eastern Conference, they had no intentions on going into Chicago and letting up on the Bulls. The other big story of the night is the LeBron James is just three points away from becoming the youngest player in the NBA to reach 15,000 points in a career. The Chicago Bulls were coming onto tonight wanting to show they can hang with the big teams like the Cavaliers.
In the first quarter the Bulls were hanging in there with the Cavaliers as the scoring was kept close as they were only outscored by 1 point 29-28. It didn’t take James to long to get the three points he needed as he hit a free throw in the first to become the youngest player in NBA history to reach 15,000 points. In the second quarter the Cavaliers stepped up their defense as they outscored the Bulls 25-18 to give them a 54-46 lead at the half. In the third quarter both teams seemed to struggle as the Bulls outscored the Cavaliers 19-15 cutting the score to 69-65. In the fourth quarter the Cavaliers seemed to be to much as they outscored the Bulls 23-20 giving them a 92-85 win.
Leading the way for the Cavaliers was LeBron James with 29 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assist, 2 steals and 2 blocks, Mo Williams had 18 points, 4 assist an 2 rebounds. Delonte West has 10 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Jawad Williams had 10 points and 4 rebounds.
The Cavaliers next game is Sunday March 21st at Quicken Loans Arena against the Detroit Pistons. Tip off is at 6:00 p.m.
