CLEVELAND- After having a day off and getting back at it on the practice courts yesterday, the Cavaliers were looking to prove all they needed was a days rest after many back to back games. They were at home last night hosting the visiting Washington Wizards are having problems of their own.

Earlier in the day the Wizards learned that team member Gilbert Arenas was suspended indefinitely by the commissioner of the NBA David Stern for his locker room gun incident and his lack of respect of the situation when he made gun jesters with his fingers before his pervious game on the court. “This team has gone through a lot over the years”, said Wizards head coach Flip Saunders, “This team has gone through injuries and now we have to get ready and play. You can’t worry about the players you don’t have weather its to injury or what ever. You have to worry about the players you do have. And those guys are professionals and we have to go out and perform at a high level.” Saunders did go on to talk about the commissioner’s action saying, “I think there is no question that when you have a situation were something, a situation happened he’s got to take action. They came out with a statement, our organization came out with a statement and we abide by that statement. So as a team and as a coach we can’t worry about that right now. We have to worry about going out and performing with the players that we do have.”

You could easily see that the Wizards were not only not in the game mentally but also physically as they just had a game the night pervious where they had to come back from 18 points down as they were completely dominated by the Cavaliers all night long.

The Cavaliers out scored the Wizards the first half 65-43 and it did not get much better after that as they were also out scored in the second half 56-55 as the Cavaliers got the win 121-98. The Cavaliers had 6 players score in double digits.

Leading the way for the Cavaliers was LeBron James with 23 points, 8 assist, 7 rebounds, 2 blocked shots and 1 steal. Shaquille O’Neal had 17 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 blocked shot. Anthony Parker had 16 points, 2 blocked shots and 1 assist. Delonte West had 14 points, 6 assist, 4 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot. Anderson Varejao had 12 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assist, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot. Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 12 points and 8 rebounds.

The Cavaliers start another West Coast road trip on Friday as they will be in Denver to take on the Nuggets. Tip off is at 10:30.
