Player Appearance by J.J. Hickson
This holiday season, the Cavs and the National Basketball Academy are proud to offer a three-day clinic designed to improve the skill level of any youth basketball player in grades 3-8. Spaces are still available for the Cavaliers Holiday Basketball Camp with a special appearance by Cavs forward J.J. Hickson, which will take place at Mandel Jewish Community Center (26001 S. Woodland Rd.) on December 28-30 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. The registration price for the three day clinic is $120 for Mandel Jewish Community Center members and $125 for non-members and includes a ticket to a 2009-10 Cavaliers game.
This basketball clinic is a great place for boys and girls to learn proper basketball techniques from qualified instructors who know the game. Campers will be grouped by age, skill and gender whenever possible. The camp curriculum includes skill development stations such as shot mechanics, ball handling, passing, defense and rebounding. There will be daily skill competitions, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games. Every participant will receive:
- Three days of instruction from The National Basketball Academy
- One $27 ticket to a select Cleveland Cavaliers regular season home game
- Additional game tickets will be made available at a discount for family and friends
The National Basketball Academy organizes, promotes, and manages basketball events of the highest quality on a local, regional and national level.
