For the first time in Cavaliers history they have one of the best true centers in the NBA

with Shaquille O’Neal. No one know more than Cavaliers on how much his presents

means against the leagues other big men.

When the Cavaliers were going against the Heat in Miami on November 12, O’Neal

was guarding Heat’s forward Michael Beasley. Beasley went to and O’Neal went up with

him to block the shot. At that point O’Neal jammed his shoulder straining the mussel.

After going through rehab O’Neal was back in practice today after missing Five game. We had

a chance to talk with O’Neal about the injury and how his shoulder felt in practice. O’Neal said:

“It felt pretty good. Got it banged up once or twice today, so I’ll go home tonight hopefully it

don’t feel to bad in the morning, but its good to be back out here with the guys. Z did a great job,

the team did a great job. You can tell it’s a great organization because I asked them to shot me up

a couple of times and they told me no. I’m from the old school, said hey just shot me up, give me

a cortisone shot and they wouldn’t do it. So I had to go through the regular rehab and unfortunately

I had to miss a could of games but I didn’t want to. Hats go off to this organization and the staff

because I was cursing and screaming and trying to make them, tell them to shot me up but they

wouldn’t do it. So my hat goes off to the Cleveland Clinic for doing things above board.”

The good thing this shows not only O’Neal but the rest of the team and fans, is that no matter what

is at steak, they put the person ahead of winning. In the end it will payoff not taking shortcuts to

heal an injured player and the player will be completely healed instead on almost healed.

After General Manager Danny Ferry and Head Coach Mike Brown worked so hard to put

together the rest of the puzzle for a possible NBA championship roster, the last thing they want

to do is risk the possibility of losing any part of it for the season.
