Cavaliers Drop To 0-2 As Raptors Win 101-91

Cavaliers Raptors Basketball

Toronto- To much preseason like play in the first half leaves the Cavaliers to far behind to come back. Even though the Cavaliers were down by 18 points at the half, they were able to tie it 69-69. But from that point on it was to much Raptor offense as they went on to win 101-91 giving the Cavaliers their second loss. Even though it was a lost, there are a lot of positives. In the second half you started to see the Cavaliers starting to gel together. You have to keep in mind, Anthony Parker, Jamario Moon and Shaquille O’Neal were not on this team a year ago. So it may take just a little longer than usual to get them in rhythm considering there are three new player with two of them starting. Keep in mind head coach Mike Brown made note of it that they were not where he wanted to be yet as the season started last night and it may take a sometime to get there.

LeBron James Lead the way with his first triple double of the season, 23 points, 12 assist and 11 rebounds, Mo Williams followed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assist. Shaquille O’Neal, Daniel Gibson and Anthony Parker all had 12 points.

The Cavaliers next game is Friday on Minnesota as they take on the Timberwolves. Then on Saturday they will be here in Cleveland to take on the Charlotte Bobcats. It will be interesting to see if they will be able to put all the pieces together to take advantage of all the offensive and defensive weapons.
