CLEVELAND- Today during the Cavaliers practice you could feel that evaluations were being done to get down to the final roster. Then the Cavaliers announced today that they have waived forward Rob Kurz and center Luke Nevill. Kurz played in five games during the preseason, averaging 3.4 points and 2.0 rebounds  in 9.8 minutes per game while Nevill appeared in four games, averaging 2.8 points and 1.8 rebounds in 8.8 minutes per game. The Cavaliers roster now stands at 18.

The Cavaliers head to Pittsburgh Tuesday to take on the Dallas Mavericks at the University of Pittsburgh, tip-off is at 7:30. I was informed today By coach Mike Brown that we would see a lot of the starters playing late in the game through rotation, likely till the fourth period. You can bet that everyone will be bring there a game as they get set to make the final cut before the beginning of the season which starts Tuesday October 27.
