Zydrunas Ilgauskas Trade Rumors For Golden State’s Swingman Stephen Jackson

CLEVELAND- Just when Zydrunas Ilgauskas thought he could stop counting trade rumor that have been going on since he came to the league, another one strikes again. And the thing that is most displeasing is the trade rumor is Ilgauskas for Golden State swingman Stephen Jackson.

If the trade were to happen Ilgauskas understands it is part of the business. “If it happens, life goes on,” Ilgauskas shrugged. “ I think I still have at least a few good years of basketball left in me,”Ilgauskas said. “I would like to come back. But it gets harder every year, mentally and physically. I’ll just decide at the end of the year.”

I feel if this trade happens it would hurt this team more than help it. Stephen Jackson in my opinion is a player that will bring many distractions to a team that is mindset on winning a NBA Championship. He is a type of player that is not needed for a team that is already strong in the position of swingman. So let leave Z where he belongs in Cleveland.

anyone dumb enough to trade a model statesman like z for a thug like jax, shouldn’t be an nba gm. i would like to think danny ferry is smarter than this. rumors like this fly over the interwebs all the time and nothing ever comes of them. hopefully this one will just be more of the same. now if they included either steph curry or montae ellis in on any such deal, well then i might be inclined to at least listen. hee-hee!!!

charles barkley once said “any knucklehead can score” and jax is certainly one great big ol’ knucklehead. while it’s a totally different sport, but the premise is still the same, just go rent the movie “miracle” sometime about the 1980 u.s. olympic hockey team and you will see that herb brooks (who was well played by kurt russell) left off some big-time goal scorers off the team because he didn’t want anyone who was simply a scorer to take away from the dynamic of the team. it was more important to him to have guys who could be better overall team players and not just great individual scorers. i think it’s the same thing with the cavs. they don’t need another scorer like jax is. they need role players who can fit within the “team” dynamic and that just ain’t jax.

yo this trade would hurt the warrios more than the cavs. all ya’ll are stupid saying you wouldnt trade big z for jackson. that makes no type of sense ya’ll forgot that jackson won a ring with the spurs and no one from the team complained about him. even duncan thought he was a good teammate
