CLEVELAND- With the 2009-10 NBA season just around the corner, Training Camps are set to open up in about three weeks. The Cleveland Cavaliers have made the biggest and the best moves in the off-season and have put together one of the most exciting rosters that Cavalier fans have ever seen, But will they enjoy it?
I have some doubts when it comes to the fans making the most of what the Cavaliers have brought to the court to try and capture an NBA title. Reason why, they are to worried about weather or not LeBron James is going to stay in Cleveland after this season. We already have an idea of what we will see out of James this season, but with another year of maturity. Plus how sweet it will be to see James and O’Neal on the same court and a much stronger bench backing them up. The problem comes when the look past that and into the off-season.
Sports Illustrated posted this interview from James saying;
“I’m excited about the upcoming season and I have never given any indication that I’m leaving Cleveland,” he said. “I’ve been happy with what the franchise has done for me and my family. It’s been great. Hopefully everything goes right and hopefully I can sign a big contract to stay in Cleveland.”
James was then asked if he would be open to signing a short term deal with the Cavaliers.
“That’s possible,” he said. “We’ll see.”
Maybe now Cavalier fans can relax and enjoy one of the best rosters they will ever see for the Cleveland Cavaliers. I know I will.
