LeBron James Keeping His Options Open For Free Agency!

SUNVALLEY/

CLEVELAND- Heading into a year where the Cavaliers have done more than ever to build a championship team, LeBron James is not in a hurry to sign an extension.

James agent Leon Rose claims that his has had great conversations with Cavs General Manager Danny Ferry, but at this time James wants to keep his options open for free-agency when that time arrives. James says he will not allow any contract talks to be a distraction in this up coming season.

James is set to make $15.7 million this 2009-10 season with a one-year option that would pay him $17.1 million for the 2010-11 season.

Although James in not committing at this time, he is very excited about playing with Shaquille O’Neal and the rest of the improved roster.

I for one would love to see James sign the extension as soon as possible, but given his status with the city of Cleveland, he will be able to do as he pleases with out ruffling any fan’s feathers.
