Christian Eyenga’s Spanish Deal Leaves Cavaliers With Options.

Cavaliers Plans Basketball

CLEVELAND- Next season the Cleveland Cavaliers will be with out the first-round pick. Christian Eyenga will be playing in Spain next season, but was able to negotiate terms into his contract with DKV Joventut that will allow him plenty of flexibility to ocme to the NBA in the future when he is ready for the move.

Eyenga’s contract was a three year deal, but has clauses after every season. This means if things go well he could sign with the Cavaliers next summer, or wait two years if that is decided the be route for Eyenga’s career.

Andy Miller, Eyenga’s agent based out of New Jersey,  had a chance to talk things over with the Cavs and Eyenga, and this was the best decision. By allowing him to play in Spain for another season, Eyenga will be better prepared to enter the ranks of the NBA.

This option also leave Danny Ferry, Mike Brown and Dan Gilbert with options they may not of had with the signing of Eyenga. Now the plan is to figure out the next best option for the Cavaliers roster. Who would you like to see? Let me know.
